Like other technologies, education has a modular structure, meaning it consists of interconnected components (curriculum, instruction, assessment). It is also recursive, existing at multiple levels (classroom, school, district). Recognizing education as a technology allows us to analyze its effectiveness, adapt to changing needs, and innovate in meaningful ways.
