Grackle Suite

Unfortunately, many educators are unaware of the importance of ensuing the files they create (documents, spreadsheets, presentation) comply with the standards defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In general, ADA compliant files are more accessible to users with disabilities than those that are not. These files, for example, are structured to facilitate interpretation by screen readers, have sufficient color contrast, and large font size.

Grackle Docs iconG Suite (or Google Docs or Google Drive– whatever one happens to be calling it) is widely used in schools, and those who install the Grackle Suite can launch an add-on that will analyze a document and identify problems with the file. Fixing those errors and following the recommendations will result in files that are ADA-compliant.
